From opening an application to sitting down with someone is a matter of weeks, not months - but the parts people ask about most are the ones with a wait in them.

The application: about ten minutes #

The form asks about your background, your practice, your education and work, and what you are looking for in a spouse. You choose a password as part of it, which creates your account - there is no separate sign-up.

Then: until registration closes #

This is the wait people find hardest, and it is the one with the clearest reason. Nothing is matched until the full applicant list is in. If applications were decided as they arrived, whoever applied first would be matched against a nearly empty pool and whoever applied last against a full one. Waiting for the close means every application is judged against the same field.

Then: three to five days #

Once registration closes, every possible pair is scored, a coordinator reviews the results, and the invitations go out. You will know whether you have a place within three to five days of the close - whichever way the answer goes.

Why not everyone gets a place

Places are limited and the balance of men and women has to work. A strong application is sometimes held for the next event rather than refused, because the room for this one is already balanced. It is rarely a judgement on the application itself.

The event itself: one evening #

Check-in opens thirty minutes before the start. A short welcome, structured introductions with the people you were matched to, then open conversation time.

After: as long as it takes #

This is the part with no timetable, and it should not have one. Mutual interest is confirmed, contact details are exchanged, families get involved, and two people work out whether they want to marry each other.

Some people know within a couple of conversations. Others take months and are right to. The only wrong pace is the one set by someone else's expectation, or by being tired of looking - a decision made out of fatigue is not a decision. The whole sequence is set out in more detail on the about page.

Looking to marry?

Our events are for Muslims who are serious about marriage. You apply, a person reads your application, and matching runs before invitations go out.
