European Muslim matchmaking events
For Bosnian, Albanian, Kosovar, Chechen and other European Muslims in England – and for Muslims from France, Germany and the Netherlands who have settled here. A Muslim identity that is European by origin, not by relocation.
The community nobody organises events for
Ask most people to picture a Muslim matchmaking event in Britain and they picture a South Asian or Arab room. Bosnians, Albanians and Kosovars are rarely on that mental list at all, despite Islam in the Balkans being older than most of the communities that are.
The result is that European Muslim families here have almost nowhere structured to look. The numbers in any one city are small, the diaspora is dispersed, and community events – where they exist – are social rather than built for marriage.
These evenings are built for it. Applications are read individually, matching runs across the whole list before invitations go out, and the room is drawn from the entire country rather than one town.
Who this event is for
Muslims of European heritage, and anyone genuinely open to marrying one. Practice across this community varies widely and the form asks for the honest answer rather than the expected one – matching works from what you actually wrote.

How the evening runs
- You apply. Around ten minutes. Background, language, practice, work, and what you are looking for in a spouse.
- A person reads it. Every application individually, free-text box included.
- Matching runs once. After registration closes, the whole list is matched together on age, location, practice, education, profession and stated preferences.
- Invitations go out. Venue and timings by email. Numbers are kept even between men and women.
- On the night. Supervised, structured introductions, with a separate lounge for guardians.

Is this event for European reverts, or for Muslims of European heritage?
Both are welcome. If you converted to Islam and want a room built around that specifically, our revert events are designed for it.
There are not many of us in Britain. Will the room be viable?
Because matching runs once after registration closes, small rooms are matched properly rather than left to chance. Where an event has too few applications to match well, we move the date rather than run it thin.
I live outside England.
For in-person events you need to be able to attend on the date. Our online events have no travel requirement – same form, same review, same matching, introductions over video once your place is confirmed.
My family is not very practising. Does that rule me out?
No. The form asks where you are with practice and prayer, and matching pairs people at comparable levels. Nobody is turned away for answering honestly.
Can a guardian come with me?
Yes – one guardian per female guest, waiting in a separate lounge with refreshments and welcome to join at the end. Note it on the application form.
