In person in England, and online for everyone else. Which one suits you depends less on where you live than on what you want the evening to be.
In person #
Events are held in venues in England, and each event page names the venue and the city before you apply. Nothing about the format changes between one city and another: the same application, the same individual review, the same matching once registration closes.
What does change is who is in the room. Events are grouped by community and background, so an evening is shaped by the people it was put together for.
Online #
An online event is different in one respect only - the room. The application is the same, the review is by the same team, and the matching runs the same way. The introductions happen over video at a scheduled time, with a supervisor from our side present throughout.
For anyone outside England, or anywhere a weekday evening in another city is not realistic, this is the practical option rather than the lesser one.
Which to choose
Choose in person if being in the same room matters to you and travel is manageable. Choose online if it is not, or if you would rather have the first conversation from home. Both lead to the same place: mutual interest, contact details exchanged, families involved.
